Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team at Methodist Health System. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive nutritional services program for our cancer center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a process for patient assessment for nutritional consults
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop the program
  • Provide nutrition education to patients and caregivers to facilitate compliance with the policy for oncology nutrition services
  • Participate in ongoing review and revision of nutrition education to provide updated resources for all clinical care
  • Utilize evidence-based, peer-reviewed educational materials for patients, staff, and community
  • Plan integrated nutritional intervention for patients to maximize status per approved standards of care
  • Measure and report performance improvement to the Cancer Committee and/or Service Executive
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics required
  • Master's degree in Dietetics preferred
  • 2 years of clinical experience with patients throughout the aging continuum required
  • Prefer 2 years or 2,000 hours of practice experience as a Registered Dietitian (RD) in oncology specialty area within the last 5 years
  • Experience in health promotion and program development required
  • Experience in working with media and nutrition writing preferred
