  • Designing, executing, and analyzing experiments for new machine learning techniques, while providing consultation for other members of the ML team.
  • Applying state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to energy-related challenges.
  • Promoting rigorous statistical testing and probabilistic thinking throughout the organization.
  • Contributing to research publications in areas such as generative modeling, forecasting, and decision-making under uncertainty.
  • Writing, optimizing, and reviewing code with a focus on performance and clarity.
Candidate Profile

You may be an excellent fit if you:

  • Possess a strong publication record in leading conferences such as NeurIPS, ICLR, or ICML, particularly in forecasting and generative/probabilistic models.
  • Hold a PhD in machine learning, statistics, or a related quantitative modeling discipline.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, and algorithms.
  • Demonstrate proven experience in researching and implementing relevant machine learning models.
  • Are proficient in writing robust code in Python.
  • Are familiar with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow and libraries such as scikit-learn.
  • Exhibit outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Possess excellent mentorship, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Show enthusiasm for continuous learning.
  • Have knowledge of the energy sector, which is a significant advantage.
Compensation

The salary range for this position is between $185,000 - $225,000 annually.
