The Medical Technologist is a vital member of the MultiCare Health System team, responsible for performing patient laboratory testing, quality control, data analysis, and results reporting. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent technical skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Receiving and identifying patient specimens
- Determining specimen suitability for testing
- Preparing reagents and performing instrument maintenance and calibration
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field, as well as certification or registry eligibility for Medical Technologist, MLS (ASCP), or MT (ASCP). Experience in laboratory testing and quality control is also preferred.
