Key Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming telephone communications and ensure proper routing
- Facilitate the registration and pre-registration processes for outpatient imaging services
- Coordinate and schedule appointments for imaging services
- Provide patients with necessary information regarding exam preparations
- Input orders into the Meditech system accurately
- Process payments and establish payment agreements when required
- Duplicate and disseminate cardiovascular reports
- Collect necessary information for the release of films and reports
Required Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a clerical role within a healthcare environment is preferred
- Completion of a medical terminology course or equivalent professional experience
- Proficient in collaborating effectively with colleagues, healthcare providers, and patients
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Accurate typing abilities
- Fundamental understanding of medical terminology
- Detail-oriented with the capacity to maintain composure in high-pressure situations
