Position Summary

The Account Director will be a key figure in the client service division, overseeing operations across six markets for a major client, while also managing various projects throughout the Latin American region. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in the media sector, demonstrating proficiency in delivering comprehensive solutions and insights—from strategic partnership development to negotiation and execution management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture high-level relationships with both internal teams and external clients.
  • Oversee daily operations for the Airbnb account across six markets.
  • Manage relationships with ROLA markets.
  • Inspire and guide direct and indirect reports, fostering their professional growth through mentorship.
  • Coordinate and manage market operations to fulfill client requests effectively.
  • Develop strong rapport with clients and agency partners, ensuring smooth communication and conflict resolution.
  • Lead the team in identifying strategic opportunities and developing integrated marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with global teams to implement innovative strategies and thought leadership.
  • Manage budgets, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client objectives.
  • Promote integrated solutions for clients in collaboration with various disciplines.
  • Maintain and expand industry relationships and networks.

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • In-depth understanding of consumer segments and media behaviors within LATAM markets.
  • Proficient in managing processes and understanding key project management steps.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to coach team members in presentations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to finding solutions.
  • Ability to think creatively and analytically to enhance strategic executions.
  • Clear understanding of business KPIs and measurement tools to assess media effectiveness.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring consistency and quality in deliverables.
  • Familiarity with media research tools and proficiency in relevant software applications.
  • Solid grasp of marketing and advertising principles, including media concepts and budget management.
  • Proficiency in Spanish (spoken and/or written) is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Over 8 years of experience in a media agency, focusing on partnership strategy and negotiation.
  • Experience in LATAM media and marketing is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of media and content channels.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional client outcomes and achieving recognition within the industry.
  • Experience with various media planning and research tools.
  • Extensive background in account management at a senior level, with a focus on business growth.
  • Strong negotiation skills across diverse property types.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
