Position Summary

The Account Director will act as a vital member of the client service team, overseeing operations across six markets for a key account. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in the media sector, demonstrating proficiency in delivering comprehensive solutions and expert guidance—from strategic partnership development to negotiation and execution management. The ideal individual will excel in coordinating cross-channel initiatives aimed at enhancing brand affinity and achieving business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture senior-level relationships both internally and externally.
  • Oversee daily operations for the Airbnb account across six markets.
  • Manage relationships within the ROLA markets.
  • Inspire and guide direct and indirect reports, fostering their professional growth through mentoring.
  • Coordinate and manage market operations to fulfill client requests effectively.
  • Develop strong rapport with clients and agency partners, ensuring effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Lead the team in identifying strategic opportunities and developing integrated marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with global teams to implement best practices and thought leadership.
  • Manage budgets effectively, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
  • Drive integrated solutions in partnership with various disciplines.
  • Maintain and enhance industry relationships and networks.

Knowledge & Expertise

  • In-depth understanding of consumer segments and media consumption trends across LATAM markets.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of media processes and project management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to coach team members.
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills, always prepared with solutions.
  • Creative and analytical thinking to enhance strategic execution based on business results.
  • Clear grasp of business KPIs and client objectives, utilizing measurement tools effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring consistency in deliverables.
  • Proficient in media research and reporting tools, with strong technical skills in relevant software.
  • Solid understanding of marketing principles and media concepts.
  • Proficiency in Spanish (spoken and/or written) is essential.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in a media agency, focusing on partnership strategy and negotiation.
  • Experience in LATAM market media and marketing is crucial.
  • Strong knowledge of media and content channels.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional client outcomes that achieve strategic goals.
  • Familiarity with various media planning and research tools.
  • Extensive senior-level account management experience, with a focus on business growth.
  • Strong negotiation skills across diverse property types.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
