Job Summary

The Construction Manager will oversee the construction phase of a project, ensuring safety, scope, cost, and schedule are met. This role reports directly to the Project Manager and is responsible for monitoring project progress, resolving issues, and coordinating testing and start-up of installed equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee pre-fab and onsite construction activities
  • Monitor project safety, scope, quality, risk, schedule, and budget
  • Report progress daily to the Project Manager
  • Supervise contract inspectors and resolve issues related to materials, construction, and scheduling
  • Coordinate testing and start-up of installed equipment
  • Develop punch lists and obtain signoff of the turnover checklist from the Field Leader
  • Assist the Project Manager in providing O M manuals and asset lists to responsible parties
  • Ensure as-built redline drawings are submitted to Engineering
  • Turn over emergency plan redlines to Records Management, Engineering, Field Operations, and Gas Control with acknowledgment of receipt from Gas Control prior to in-service
  • Compile and submit closeout documentation consistent with the standard format provided by the Project Manager

Bachelor's degree and applicable experience

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The noise level on the construction site is often loud.
