The Process Improvement Leader plays a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiencies across nVenia. Key responsibilities encompass spearheading process enhancement projects, fostering cost-saving initiatives, applying optimal manufacturing techniques, troubleshooting production challenges, and refining processes to elevate our manufacturing practices. The overarching aim of the Process Improvement Leader is to minimize waste and inefficiencies, thereby shortening lead times and boosting quality and profitability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and implement Continuous Improvement strategies.
  • Cultivate a workplace culture that prioritizes continuous improvement, excellence, and accountability.
  • Equip teams with the necessary skills, tools, and frameworks to meet organizational demands.
  • Develop, manage, and execute the "Continuous Improvement Roadmap," ensuring alignment with broader corporate strategies. This includes maintaining a robust pipeline of CI projects, facilitating kaizen and immediate process enhancement initiatives, and engaging team members to expedite improvements.
  • Establish foundational daily management processes and analytics. Provide training, set expectations, and deploy systems to enhance daily management practices, maximizing growth, revenue, and operational profit.
  • Adopt a proactive approach to driving process enhancements, ensuring the organization adheres to best practices in its operations.
  • Utilize tools such as Just-In-Time (JIT), kanban, visual metrics, flow optimization, standard operating procedures, 5S, kaizen, Toyota Production System (TPS), and Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) to propel continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Enhance productivity, efficiency, safety, and throughput while eliminating waste.
  • Evaluate current product designs, manufacturing workflows, testing protocols, facility layouts, and material flows to innovate processes that lead to more cost-effective manufacturing.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in process improvement initiatives, redesign efforts, and waste reduction strategies.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to promote Design for Manufacturability in new product designs.
  • Develop and deliver training across the organization to introduce lean and continuous improvement methodologies, processes, and safety standards.
  • Assess and recommend performance metrics and audits to drive ongoing improvements.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, quality, or process improvement role.
  • Strong understanding of workflows in machining and assembly operations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles, including JIT, kanban, visual metrics, flow optimization, standard operating procedures, 5S, kaizen, TPS, problem-solving, and SMED.
  • Proven experience in driving improvements through kaizen activities, including Standard Work, SMED, 3P, Material Pull, Problem Solving, and Transactional Process Improvement (TPI).
  • Ability to mentor and foster a lean culture, with strong communication and influence skills to engage with individuals and train others.
  • Capability to collaborate and influence all organizational levels, from senior leaders to specialists and operators across various functions.
