Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at Cumberland County Government. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the assessing department, performing a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to callers, responding to inquiries and directing them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate and schedule appointments on Google calendars for assessors and field staff, ensuring timely and efficient use of their time.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Data Entry: Enter property sketches and personal property data into our system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Assist in the preparation and coordination of various reports, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Document Review: Review and verify the accuracy of departmental documents and forms submitted by customers.
  • Special Projects: Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: At least two years' experience in a primarily front-facing clerical role, with a preference for candidates with experience in a legal or government environment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What We Offer

Cumberland County Government offers a competitive salary range of $22.90 - $23.82 per hour, commensurate with experience. Part-time employees are offered a limited benefits package.
