Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to join our team at The Metropolitan District Commission. As a key member of our public works team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating a wide range of construction projects, including the development of infrastructure and facilities for our district.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate construction projects from conceptual development to final completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Supervise and manage construction teams, including engineers, contractors, and work crews, to ensure compliance with contracts, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical advice and assistance to consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders on construction-related matters.
  • Represent the district in project meetings, negotiations, and communications with contractors, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience in construction management, engineering, or a related field, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • CCM/CMAA certification or ability to acquire within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid driver's license.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel to construction sites and meetings. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
