Job Title: Construction Inspector

JKMuir, a leading environmental engineering and energy consulting firm, is seeking a skilled Construction Inspector to join our team. As a Construction Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction projects in the Hartford, CT area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead tasks for projects and assist senior project managers in ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.
  • Collaborate with project teams to prepare daily field reports, review plans and specifications, and interface with regulatory agencies.
  • Communicate effectively with client personnel, maintaining a professional and pleasant public image.
  • Exhibit integrity and high-quality work in all activities, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism.
  • Maintain equipment and field and office supplies, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Provide recommendations for design improvements to enhance future work.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction administration or oversight, with linear pipe installation experience preferred.
  • Experience on water/wastewater construction projects, including construction oversight, is desired.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Independent and self-motivated, with attention to detail and excellent client interaction skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and perform tasks efficiently within assigned time frames.
