Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at RWJBarnabas Health. As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you will be responsible for performing clinical laboratory testing according to established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical laboratory testing according to established policies and procedures.
  • Reports all test results promptly, accurately, and efficiently to the patient's caregiver in order to assist with diagnosis and treatment.
  • Maintain quality assurance and quality control policies and procedures to ensure validity of test results.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to solve problems, evaluate aberrant patient results and recognize factors that may affect measurements and results.
  • Consistently follows all required laboratory safety and chemical hygiene plans to ensure a safe working environment.
