Ascendo Resources is currently in search of a Financial Account Executive to enhance the team at a financial services organization. This role is crucial, as it involves managing individual client accounts and overseeing all aspects of their financial management. The position offers the flexibility of remote or hybrid work arrangements.

Position Title: Financial Account Executive
Compensation: $80k - $90k

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer payroll and prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax submissions, including handling forms 1099s and W-2s.
  • Oversee accounting software for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and the general ledger.
  • Facilitate invoice payments through both paper and electronic methods.
  • Document revenue receipts accurately.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, or yearly bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow efficiently.
  • Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable records.
  • Generate precise and timely financial statements such as income statements and balance sheets in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Analyze financial statements and provide insightful variance analyses.
  • Manage statutory filings with federal, state, and local authorities, including estimated tax payments.
  • Collaborate with clients, banking representatives, insurance brokers, and other business partners as necessary.
  • Administer assets in insurance policies and asset management software.
  • Review and guide the work of bookkeepers, offering training as needed.
  • Ensure tax returns align with the balance sheet.
  • Make necessary adjusting journal entries.
  • Differentiate loan principal from interest on all loans.
  • Perform depreciation calculations and related journal entries.
  • Possess foundational HR knowledge.
  • Conduct audits related to insurance.
  • Oversee payroll processing and data entry.
  • Recommend technological solutions to small businesses to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years of experience in bookkeeping or as a staff accountant.
  • 7-10 years of expertise in utilizing QuickBooks ERP system.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Quicken is a plus.
  • Certified Bookkeeper accreditation is preferred.
  • Tax experience with UltraTax is essential.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing personal returns with Schedule C is required; preparation of corporate returns is advantageous.
