Job Summary:
The Lutheran Hospital is seeking a highly skilled PACS Administrator to oversee the operation of our medical imaging network. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of our PACS system, including image quality, network viability, and technical enhancements. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including physicians, radiologists, and IT staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the day-to-day operation of the PACS system, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
* Ensure the integrity and security of patient data and medical images
* Collaborate with IT staff to implement technical enhancements and upgrades to the PACS system
* Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of hardware and software
* Provide training and support to end-users on the use of the PACS system
* Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in medical imaging and IT
Requirements:
* Associate degree in computer science, information technology, or technical training equivalent
* Experience in Microsoft Networking environment
* Experience in hardware and software troubleshooting
* Familiarity with relational database concepts and client-server concepts
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
