Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Associate II to join our Anxiety Outpatient team. As a key member of our team, you will provide direct care to patients with psychiatric disorders, participating in treatment planning and implementation. Your expertise will also be utilized to precept new employees and train new Behavioral Health Associates to conduct groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to patients with psychiatric disorders, including participation in treatment planning and implementation.
  • Precept new employees to the unit and train new Behavioral Health Associates to conduct groups.
  • Support the maintenance of a therapeutic milieu and conduct program inservices as directed.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of patients and maintain documentation according to department/organization procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a Behavioral Health related field.
  • Maintain information as highly confidential.
  • Ability to exercise self-control in potentially volatile situations.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and willingness to seek supervision.
Preferred Qualifications

We also welcome candidates with:

  • A Master's Degree.
  • Minimum five years of previous psychiatric experience.
  • Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology.
  • Skills in teaching or assisting with activities of daily living.
  • Prior experience with therapeutic limit-setting, along with milieu management.
Licensure and Certification

Required certifications include:

  • A valid driver's license.
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross.
