Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavior Management Specialist to join our team at DuPage County ROE. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the behavioral program at Southeast School, providing therapeutic and behavioral interventions, and collaborating with other professionals to support student success.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide parent support services and consultation
Provide in-service to staff as requested
Provide clinical consultation to staff
Provide timely and effective crisis intervention
Participate constructively in staffings and meetings
Assist in writing program reports, policies, etc., as requested
Take initiative to facilitate program with minimal supervision
Provide counseling to students as indicated on the IEP
Serve as liaison to community agencies, e.g., mental health, probation, DCFS, etc.
Communicate meaning and educational implications of psychological and psychiatric reports to parents and teachers as necessary
Maintain good relationships with staff, students, parents, district staff, and community agencies' staff

Requirements:

Master's Degree; Type 73 Certificate in School Psychology or School Social work
Knowledgeable in the role of Behavior Management Specialist in a public school setting
Ability to function effectively as a team member
Experience in providing consultative services regarding behavior management methods and approaches
