Join Our Team as a Retail Associate

We are seeking to recruit a dedicated retail associate for part-time positions, with the potential for full-time employment for the right individual. Various shifts are available, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Experience: While experience in retail, hardware, or gardening is advantageous, it is not mandatory. We are eager to train the right candidate who is enthusiastic about customer service.

Who We Are:

Gopher Ace is a well-established hardware store located in Long Lake, MN, owned by Mike & Mark. Formerly known as Long Lake True Value, we have transitioned to the Ace brand while maintaining our commitment to quality service. Our family-owned business has been serving the community since 1903, and we pride ourselves on creating a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries in person and over the phone.
  • Welcome customers upon entry and express gratitude as they leave.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, management, and team members.
  • Efficiently operate point-of-sale systems to ensure smooth transactions.
  • Process transactions accurately, including checks and cash handling.
  • Monitor for potential shoplifting and adhere to company policies.
  • Assist customers in finding products and provide relevant information.
  • Maintain an organized checkout area and ensure supplies are stocked.
  • Handle incoming calls and manage messages appropriately.
  • Process returns and exchanges with care.
  • Contribute to store displays and promotional signage.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
