We're currently seeking a skilled Data Analyst and Portfolio Manager to join our Development Innovations Ventures (DIV) program in USAID's Bureau for Inclusive Growth Partnerships and Innovation. This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge development innovations and collaborate with experts from various backgrounds.

About the Role:
  • Conduct initial screenings of DIV proposals and provide technical feedback to applicants.
  • Execute rigorous due diligence of proposals, assessing commercial viability, evidence quality, cost-effectiveness, and business plans.
  • Support the preparation of award packages in compliance with procurement policies and best practices.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in business, economics, public policy, international development, or a relevant field, along with 7+ years of professional experience. Alternatively, a PhD with 5+ years of experience or a Bachelor's Degree with 15+ years of experience may also be considered.

Key Qualifications:
  • At least 5-8 years of professional experience in positions working for social enterprises, venture capital, management consulting, grant-making, applied development economics, or implementing international development programs.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders from various countries and cultural backgrounds, with a proven track record of building trusted relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information effectively.
  • A quick learner with entrepreneurial problem-solving skills, comfortable navigating ambiguous situations, and prioritizing tasks efficiently.
  • Kind, compassionate, and a strong team player able to work well in teams, both in-person and remotely.

We offer a competitive salary range of $118,000-$153,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes comprehensive health insurance, income protection, retirement plans, generous leave programs, education assistance, and opportunities for professional growth.

This position requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret-level security clearance. The place of performance is in Washington DC, with limited telework options available.
