Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Data Analyst II to support the Department of Energy's State and Community Energy Programs. The successful candidate will provide data review, analysis, and reporting in support of the management of DOE SCEP's portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide data review, analysis, and reporting in support of the management of DOE SCEP's portfolio.
  • Support the maintenance of current business data, including identifying data gaps, exceptions, and quality issues.
  • Develop standard reports related to financial status, budgets, and spend plans, resources, staff, and hiring.
  • Utilize various data sources to develop requested reports and support analysis.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Lead data efforts in system modernization projects, including synchronizing data, establishing data reporting processes, and developing SOPs.
  • Develop management-level reports, briefings, case studies, and recommendations regarding findings, trends, and analysis for SCEP's portfolio and projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, public administration, or a related discipline.
  • Four years of relevant education/experience may substitute the Bachelor's degree to meet the minimum education requirement.
  • Eight years of relevant experience are required. A Master's degree in a related discipline may substitute two years of relevant experience in fulfillment of the minimum experience requirement.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work cross-functionally to assist with resolving problems and implementing changes.
  • Good time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently.
