Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated individual to support the Patient Care Manager in overseeing the delivery of patient care within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Role Summary:
This position plays a crucial role in the management and evaluation of nursing staff while ensuring the highest quality of patient care. The Assistant Manager will collaborate closely with the nursing leadership team to uphold nursing practice standards and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the planning, organization, and assessment of nursing standards within the unit.
2. Supervise nursing personnel, ensuring optimal patient care through effective resource management.
3. Mentor and coach staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
4. Participate in the recruitment, performance management, and disciplinary processes for nursing staff.
5. Ensure compliance with training requirements for all team members.
6. Support the Patient Care Manager in achieving departmental objectives.
7. Contribute to effective financial management within the department.
8. Facilitate communication across departments to enhance operational efficiency.
9. Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and identify opportunities for quality improvement.
10. Promote a culture of service excellence and accountability among staff.

Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or an advanced nursing degree is required (or completion of either within two years).
Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, including at least one year in a leadership role. Nursing certification in leadership or a related specialty is preferred.
Licensure: Valid RN license in the relevant state(s) is required.

Work Environment:
This is a full-time position with standard hours and a flexible work schedule. The role may involve some physical demands and exposure to various environmental factors.
