Production Operations Manager

Job Summary

This role supports the VP of Production in ensuring the smooth operation of the department. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing the flow of products between vendors and factories, as well as coordinating shipments with agents and warehouses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the flow of information to sales and customer service teams.
  • Manage the Work in Process system, ensuring accurate updates and tracking of prices, factories, and other relevant data.
  • Oversee the Style Master, QRS, and UPC systems.
  • Troubleshoot shipping and delivery issues, working closely with vendors and warehouses to resolve problems.
  • Coordinate shipments and manage inventory levels to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Buy shoes and source materials from various countries, working with suppliers to negotiate prices and terms.
  • Monitor costs, calculate margins, and track inventory levels to optimize production efficiency.
  • Create production schedules and manage the workflow to meet deadlines.
  • Supervise the writing of buys and sourcing documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Oversee the delivery of all orders placed in various countries, working closely with vendors and logistics teams.
  • Participate in production decisions regarding new line products, working with cross-functional teams to ensure successful launches.
  • Contribute to determining product costs and resource needs, working with finance and operations teams to optimize production efficiency.
  • Manage inventory levels, ensuring that stock is properly stored and tracked.
  • Participate in special projects as needed, working with cross-functional teams to drive business results.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This role provides basic work direction and support for small groups, ensuring that team members have the resources and guidance they need to succeed.

Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6+ years of experience in a related field, with a strong background in supply chain management, operations, or logistics.
Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $95,000, depending on the candidate's skills, experience, and other factors. This range does not include benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, 401K, and additional company benefits.
