Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Swim Coach to join our team. As a Swim Coach, you will be responsible for training and coaching participants in swimming techniques, safety, and sportsmanship. You will work closely with our Coached Aquatics Coordinator, Aquatics Program Specialist, and Program Head Coach to ensure a high-quality program is delivered.
Key Responsibilities- Train and coach participants in swimming techniques, safety, and sportsmanship.
- Develop and implement practice schedules in collaboration with the Coached Aquatics Coordinator and Aquatics Program Specialist.
- Attend scheduled meets, including practice, dual, and championship meets, to support our summer swim teams.
- Ensure the safety of participants and coaches at all times, adhering to policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Coached Aquatics Coordinator and Aquatics Program Specialist.
- Minimum 15 years of age.
- Previous competitive swimming experience preferred.
- American Red Cross Community First Aid and Safety certification is preferred.
- Ability to effectively coach and train large numbers of children.
- Ability to react effectively to all potential mental, physical, and stressful situations inherent to the duties of a first responder.
- Ability to communicate with members, staff, and the public in a courteous and effective manner.
