Position Overview:
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is responsible for delivering expert nursing care to patients, facilitating their journey towards optimal physical, emotional, and social well-being. This role is guided by the Nurse Practice Act, relevant administrative codes, and the professional standards of nursing practice, along with the policies and procedures established by Rogers Behavioral Health.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will primarily work within a residential facility, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting thorough assessments of patients, both physically and mentally.
2. Collaborating with psychiatrists, therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to formulate effective care plans.
3. Engaging in open communication with patients and their families to ensure understanding and support.
4. Administering medications as prescribed and monitoring patient responses.

Work Schedule:
This position offers full-time opportunities with various shifts available to accommodate the needs of our patients.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- A valid Registered Nurse license in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
- CPR certification from the American Health Association, required within the first month of employment.
- Formal training in managing aggressive patients, to be completed within the first two months of employment.
- Previous experience in psychiatric nursing, particularly with children and adolescents, is preferred.
