The Riverside Unified School District is a renowned educational institution with a rich history dating back to the 1870s. As the 16th largest school district in California, we serve nearly 42,000 students across 50 schools in Riverside and surrounding areas.
Our district is led by a dedicated Superintendent and governed by a Board of Education comprised of publicly elected officials who serve five different trustee areas.
Job Summary
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and performing maintenance and repair tasks on the district's aquatic centers and related facilities and equipment to ensure safe and sanitary conditions.
The incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining pool chemistry and participating in projects as assigned. This role requires sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to swim.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and three years' experience in the maintenance of swimming pools containing over 300,000 gallons of water.
- Experience in plumbing and electrical.
- Basic computer knowledge.
Licenses and Other Requirements
- Valid California driver's license and evidence of insurability.
- Must possess and maintain a current Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) or Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or successfully obtain the certification within the first six (6) months of employment.
- The ability to swim is a requirement.
