As a Behavior Specialist II with the Department of Developmental Services - Canyon Springs Community State Facility, you will provide behavioral services to consumers following established standards and procedures. Your responsibilities will include performing functional behavioral assessments, developing behavioral strategies in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and providing on-site direct care, modeling, coaching, instruction, and training with consumers and their caretakers/direct care staff in community settings.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform functional behavioral assessments to identify behavioral needs and develop strategies for prevention and intervention.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop behavioral strategies and prevention and intervention plans.
- Provide on-site direct care, modeling, coaching, instruction, and training with consumers and their caretakers/direct care staff in community settings.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Valid Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification, by the National Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
- Pass a drug screening, background investigation, and medical clearance prior to being hired.
