Job Summary

This includes forklifts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment used for material handling and warehousing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment safely and effectively during material handling and warehousing activities.
  • Ensure the safe movement of goods to and from various locations.
  • Develop and maintain a sound knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes and policies.
  • Assist in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, and shipping of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Perform equipment servicing and maintenance tasks as required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of relevant experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to read/write and interpret documents.
  • Warehouse experience and sit-down forklift experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
  • Lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.
  • Work from heights of up to 20 feet from floor.
  • Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.

Additional Information

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and other business areas.
  • Working knowledge of computerized applications (word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, email).
