Job Title: Project Manager - Energy Solutions

Jacobs, a leading engineering design and program management firm, is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join its Energy & Power Solutions team in the Northeast.


The successful candidate will have the opportunity to deploy and grow their project management skills across a range of active and forthcoming renewable energy, offshore wind, and transmission projects.


As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for collaborating across Jacobs' solution areas in the energy market, including renewable energy generation, utility transmission and distribution engineering, development of new energies, and sustainability and environmental services.


Your primary role will be to provide and expand project management services to energy clients in the Northeast, leading projects that support the transition to a net-zero future.


Projects may include energy and decarbonization advisory and consulting, utility transmission and distribution, interconnection of offshore windfarms to the transmission network, microgrids, and more.


You will be managing client interactions, internal Jacobs teams, and external subconsultants, as well as collaborating with technical leadership and sales professionals on strategic pursuits.


The ideal candidate will possess highly collaborative and sophisticated communication and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to anticipate challenges and support large teams responsible for daily project delivery.


Prior experience in planning, design, design management, and project management will be highly regarded, as will experience in Owner's Engineer roles and advisory (technical advisor/due diligence) roles.


A strong network of contacts in the renewable energy, utility, and offshore wind markets in the Northeast will be seen favorably.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Knowledgeable and passionate about the Energy market in the Northeast and beyond
  • Demonstrable track record in project management excellence and leadership
  • Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Engineering and/or qualified Project Management Professional, or equivalent demonstrable professional experience
  • At least 10 years of design, consulting, or operations experience working with Owners / Developers in the energy market
  • Proven ability to engage with clients, develop relationships, and deliver beyond expectations
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills
  • Exhibits a strategic, innovative, and growth mindset and ability to work independently
  • Experience in working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
