Dangerous Goods Specialist

At LanceSoft, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dangerous Goods Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and compliant transportation, storage, and handling of hazardous materials for our global products.
Key Responsibilities:- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable local, federal, and international regulations related to the transportation and storage of dangerous goods, including DOT, IATA, 49 CFR, ADR, IMDG, and TDG.
- Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for the transportation and storage of hazardous materials, and implement safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks associated with dangerous goods.
- Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs for employees handling dangerous goods, and ensure staff are knowledgeable about the latest regulations and safety practices.
- Operational Support: Provide guidance and support to operations teams on the classification, packaging, labeling, and transportation of dangerous goods, and collaborate with logistics partners and vendors to ensure safe and compliant transportation.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in the management of dangerous goods, and conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Requirements:
- Certification in dangerous goods handling and transportation (e.g., IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) certification, DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation certification).
- OSHA certification (e.g., OSHA 30-hour General Industry certification) is preferred.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Certified Dangerous Goods Professional (CDGP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)) are advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in dangerous goods management or a related field.
