Position Overview

Job Title: Division Credit Manager

Department: Greentech Region East Credit

Location: Orlando, FL

Role Summary:

The primary objective of this role is to safeguard the assets of Consolidated Electrical Distributors through the effective management of company policies and procedures. This position serves a diverse clientele, including Profit Center Managers, credit office personnel, Service Centers, and external customers purchasing our products.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the Region Credit Manager.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in commercial credit, ideally within the wholesale distribution sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel overnight as necessary.
  • A four-year degree in business or equivalent experience in commercial credit management.

Work Environment:

This role is situated in a professional office setting, which may require prolonged periods of sitting and overnight travel.

Supervisory Duties:

This position includes supervisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Credit Management:

  • Evaluate and approve new customer accounts and construction job accounts through credit assessments and financial analysis.
  • Continuously monitor existing customer accounts and update credit records as necessary, collaborating with Profit Center Managers to optimize sales while minimizing risk.
  • Arrange secondary protection measures for company assets.
  • Conduct monthly accounts receivable reviews and site visits with Profit Centers and selected customers.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train credit office staff to support all credit office functions.
  • Oversee the administration and management of office leases, fixed assets, and expense control.
  • Understand and enforce Consolidated Electrical Distributors' Credit Policies and Procedures.

Collections Management:

  • Coordinate and oversee all collections for profit centers within established company policies and legal boundaries.
  • Delegate collection tasks to office assistants, collectors, or Credit Manager Trainees as needed.
  • Develop and implement strategies for managing overdue accounts to ensure effective collection and asset security.
  • Restrict sales as necessary to mitigate potential losses.
  • Establish and enforce secondary protection and collection mechanisms, including lien rights and personal guarantees.
  • Engage local legal counsel for collection administration and enforcement of lien rights.
  • Evaluate collection agencies for pursuing overdue accounts after internal efforts have been exhausted.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts receivable reports for management review.

Cash Management:

  • Ensure all funds received by Consolidated Electrical Distributors are promptly deposited into the company's bank account.
  • Guarantee that all payments are applied to customer accounts in accordance with company policies.
  • Communicate any deductions and accounts receivable disputes to the Profit Center Manager, providing monthly summaries of outstanding disputes and pursuing resolutions.
  • Collaborate with staff to account for and resolve bank accounts receivable and funds transfer reconciliations.
  • Provide Profit Centers with check guarantee services for cash and COD sales.
