A Financial Services Representative should be enthusiastic about assisting members and achieving high sales performance. This role involves supporting teller operations and account management as needed. The time allocated to various responsibilities will fluctuate based on branch activity and requirements.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $18.00 per hour. All available positions are Full Time and come with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

The work schedule includes hours per week from Monday to Friday (8am - 6pm), Saturday (9am - 12pm). Hours will be determined by departmental needs. The role includes a 3-week training program at designated training facilities.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Consistently achieves high sales targets while providing service on the teller line and platform. Actively seeks opportunities to enhance members' financial well-being by recommending beneficial products. Regularly meets or surpasses the credit union's sales referral objectives. Expected to refer deposit accounts, consumer loans, and general services, as well as mortgage and commercial loans to the appropriate departments. Identifies future opportunities to address members' financial needs and follows up to strengthen member relationships.
- Processes and posts financial transactions for members and non-members, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments; sells money orders and gift cards; transfers funds between member accounts as instructed. Balances cash drawer and daily transactions, ensuring accurate reporting at the start and end of the day. Maintains appropriate records and resolves discrepancies before reporting any issues to management.
- Provides exceptional member service by ensuring prompt responses to member and visitor inquiries. Creates a welcoming atmosphere from the moment members enter the branch. Evaluates requests through consultative discussions to determine the most suitable service channel, whether it be the teller line, branch lobby, or video office. Facilitates smooth transitions for members entering video offices. Assists with various services, including account maintenance, debit card and check orders, wire transfers, ACH requests, and fraud inquiries. Educates members on self-service banking options, such as Online Banking, Mobile Banking, e-Statements, ATMs, and Remote Deposit Capture, encouraging their adoption.
- Supports management by maintaining accurate records and preparing required reports, including Check Hold Audits, Teller Cash Drawer Audits, and Retention Records. Assists in managing cash over & short logs and reports any discrepancies according to procedures under management supervision. Resolves issues within their authority and refers more complex problems to their supervisor with recommendations.
- Handles safe deposit box operations for members as applicable. Escorts members to their safe deposit box for access. Adheres to all safe deposit box protocols. Responsible for maintaining cash machines where applicable and managing branch opening and closing procedures. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: This role requires significant personal interaction with individuals both inside and outside the organization for conflict resolution, relationship building, and collaboration. Discussions often involve confidentiality and discretion, necessitating diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills: Proficient in operating a 10-key calculator and computer keyboard.
Physical Requirements: The employee is regularly required to communicate, sit or stand, and navigate the branch.
Work Environment: This position operates in a professional office setting, routinely utilizing standard office equipment.
