About the Role

The General Merchandise Team Leader plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our General Merchandise and Food Sales teams. As a leader, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving processes, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Your expertise will enable you to lead a team of hourly team members, develop their skills, and empower them to create a consistent experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and hold others accountable for delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving sales growth.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently to meet business priorities and deliver sales goals.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Team Leader to understand how operational procedures impact shortage, profitability, and inventory accuracy.
  • Empower team members to create a consistent experience for our guests by assessing reporting and developing plans to resolve gaps in GM and Fulfillment processes.
  • Lead pick, pack, and ship fulfillment work to ensure efficient delivery to our guests.
  • Work a schedule that aligns to guest and business needs, including early morning, evening, overnight shifts, and weekends.
  • Assess Fulfillment business and make decisions consistent with the Executive Team Leader's direction to help teams fulfill all guest orders accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Age 18 or older.
  • Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to lead and hold others accountable, communicate effectively, and work independently and as part of a team.
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude, effective communication skills, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
