Role Summary

This position is based onsite and requires candidates to hold an active DoD Secret security clearance. The role involves significant responsibility and decision-making authority in the daily management of asset accountability as part of the comprehensive IT Asset Management Program, adhering to established policies and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce policies, standards, and procedures for the acquisition, protection, maintenance, and retention of hardware and software that align with IT strategies.
  • Research and assess available hardware and software solutions, providing recommendations based on user needs.
  • Collaborate with procurement to evaluate, select, and negotiate with vendors to secure the best pricing for necessary equipment.
  • Review contracts and licenses to ensure compliance and proper documentation of hardware and software assets.
  • Manage the lifecycle of IT assets, including reporting, inventory control, and coordination of warranty repairs.
  • Oversee the inventory of non-user-based IT equipment, ensuring accurate tracking and management.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all endpoint devices, including their status, configuration, and location.
  • Ensure that equipment inventory lists and system data are current and accurate.

Qualifications

  • Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience.
