Job Title: Patient Safety Specialist

R&K Enterprise Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Patient Safety Specialist to join our team. As a Patient Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of safe and effective healthcare services to our patients.

Job Summary:

The Patient Safety Specialist will be responsible for providing expertise and assistance in accomplishing the Patient Safety Program (PSP) objectives within the Defense Health Agency (DHA), Air Force (AF) Major Commands (MAJCOM), and Military Treatment Facilities (MTF). The successful candidate will have a strong background in patient safety and quality improvement, with experience in developing and implementing patient safety programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement patient safety programs to reduce medical errors and improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and mitigate risks associated with patient care.
  • Conduct root cause analyses to identify and address systemic issues contributing to patient safety events.
  • Develop and implement training programs to educate healthcare professionals on patient safety best practices.
  • Monitor and report patient safety events to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a nursing or healthcare-related field.
  • Four (4) years minimum experience in a healthcare-related field, with military inpatient facility experience highly desired.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently, organize time, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and effectively communicate patient safety concepts to leadership and DHA staff.
