Job Title: Ophthalmic Technician IIJob Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ophthalmic Technician II to join our team at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive ophthalmic care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians in gathering patient data and maintaining a conducive clinical environment.
  • Conduct visual acuity testing, visual field testing, lensometry, auto refractometry, refractometry, pupil assessment, extraocular motility, gross external examination, applanation tonometry, tonopen, eye drop instillation, and diagnostic testing.
  • Maintain patient medical records and ensure efficient and organized workflow.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA), Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT), Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT), Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC), Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA), or Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT-C) required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a COA, COT, COMT, OSC, CRA, or OCT-C.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of ophthalmic patient care, including advanced procedures.
