Job Summary:

The Children's Hospital Boston is seeking a skilled Orthoptist to join our team in the Ophthalmology department. As an Orthoptist, you will play a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disorders in patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive and specialized ophthalmic examinations to assess patients' vision and eye health.
Interpret and communicate test results to patients and healthcare teams, providing recommendations for treatment and management.
Implement treatment programs and conduct follow-up care for designated patients.
Collaborate with ophthalmology residents to provide support and training in orthoptics and ophthalmology.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree with coursework in Orthoptics and six months of related work experience.
Current certification as an Orthoptist by the American Orthoptic Council (AOC) or equivalent level of certification from an accredited foreign program.
Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
