Ophthalmic Care Specialist

Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive ophthalmic care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians in gathering patient data and maintaining a conducive clinical environment.
- Conduct visual acuity testing, visual field testing, lensometry, auto refractometry, refractometry, pupil assessment, extraocular motility, gross external examination, applanation tonometry, tonopen, eye drop instillation, and diagnostic testing.
- Maintain patient medical records and ensure efficient and organized workflow.
- Participate in employer-sponsored training and continuing education to become certified by JCAHPO as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant within 24 months from the date of hire.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- No experience required; free training provided.
- 0-1 years of experience as an Ophthalmic Assistant.
- 1-2 years working in a fast-paced environment.
- 1-2 years' experience in a customer service industry.
