This role provides technical capabilities, including macro/micro photography, materialography, microscopy, fixture design and fabrication, mechanical, structural, electrical, safety, automotive, and audio/visual services. The ideal candidate will possess exemplary interpersonal skills, be able to work with a wide variety of personalities, and have the ability to manage multiple tasks and staff members.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, maintain, and coordinate service of CT scanner.
- Support consultants in project work, including photography, microscopy, spectroscopy, industrial radiography, fixture design for materials, mechanical and electrical projects.
- Communicate and work directly with internal and external clients.
- Set up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.
- Identify organizational needs and develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Learn and operate technological equipment, mentor and train technologists, and maintain required certifications.
- Interact with clients, maintain safety and control of areas where data is being collected or tests are being performed, and lead routine inspections.
- Associate's degree or equivalent; or five+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Intermediate skills in VGSTUDIO MAX and Microsoft Office.
- X-Ray or CT Certification.
The physical demands of this role include standing, sitting, walking, crawling, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Work may occasionally need to be performed at various heights, outdoors in varied climate extremes.
Work EnvironmentThis role includes working in a variety of environments, including office, laboratory, industrial, construction, and outside. Noise levels and temperature may vary according to the work environment. When appropriate, employees will be required to use suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
