About the Role

Mativ is a global leader in specialty materials, and we're seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective maintenance of our plant machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventive maintenance and installation of equipment, including high-voltage maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment, responding with a sense of urgency to problems within the plant.
  • Communicate needs or concerns of equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
  • Rebuild equipment and assemblies as needed, and modify existing equipment as required.
  • Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with all OSHA/company safety requirements.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years electrical and mechanical experience (preference given to experience in manufacturing environment).
  • Electrical certification preferred (high voltage).
  • Ability to recognize electrical symbols and read electrical schematics.
  • Ability to use multimeter and clamp on ammeters for function and accuracy.
  • Mechanical AND Electrical equipment experience with ability to recognize and correct any system.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Electrical certification preferred (high voltage).
  • Familiarity with VFD (Variable Frequency Drives).
  • Familiarity with PLC's and basic trouble shooting.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70E Safety Requirements ARC Flash.

Working Conditions

  • Air Temperatures can range from cold to hot.
  • Atmosphere may contain dust, fumes, and odors.
  • May include mechanical, electrical, chemical, explosive and radiation hazards.
