We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at SWM International. As a key member of our plant operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective maintenance of our equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct high-voltage maintenance and repairs as required.
- Install and remove equipment as needed, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to production.
- Diagnose and repair equipment issues, utilizing your electrical and mechanical expertise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with 3-5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Electrical certification (high voltage) preferred.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and recognize electrical symbols.
- Proficiency in using multimeters and clamp-on ammeters.
- Basic knowledge of DC/AC motors and controls, as well as 3-phase power and circuits.
- Basic computer skills and math skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Electrical certification (high voltage) preferred.
- Familiarity with VFDs and PLCs.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E Safety Requirements.
This role requires working in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to dust, fumes, and odors. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures.
