Trailer Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Trailer Technician to join our team at Lawrence Companies. As a Trailer Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on trailers, including brake, tire, and wheel-end repairs. You will also repair lighting, air system hoses, and brake components, ensuring safe and proper use of tools and maintaining all related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance on trailers to prevent breakdowns and ensure safe operation.
  • Repair and replace brake components, including drums, shoes, and hardware.
  • Inspect and maintain tire and wheel-end systems, including hubs, bearings, and seals.
  • Repair and maintain air system hoses and components.
  • Ensure all work is accurately documented and recorded.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company safety standards.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with maintenance software.
  • Experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in a trailer or heavy equipment setting.
  • Basic electrical knowledge and understanding of air systems.
  • Welding experience is a plus.
  • Dependable with strong customer service skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
