Position Overview

The Senior Vice President of Sales Strategy plays a pivotal role within the executive team, tasked with driving the company's success in revenue generation, pricing strategy, and business development initiatives. This role collaborates closely with various departments to enhance our sales and marketing functions and align operational teams to exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Embodies and promotes the company's Core Values.
  • Leads the development and execution of a strategic roadmap for diversifying our Engineer-To-Order (ETO) and Build-To-Print (BTP) solutions over the next 3-5 years.
  • Establishes and oversees strategies for all commercial relationships, ensuring risk is effectively managed through appropriate terms and conditions.
  • Builds and directs a high-performing sales team to meet and exceed sales and profit objectives for ETO and BTP segments.
  • Defines target market segments and applications based on financial viability and core competencies.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to develop strategies addressing both existing and emerging markets, establishing key performance indicators and revenue forecasts.
  • Works closely with marketing and technical teams to create and implement targeted marketing initiatives.
  • May also be responsible for achieving personal sales and profit targets alongside team objectives.
  • Develops a global network of lead partners to enhance lead generation.
  • Creates and approves all external customer presentations, including corporate materials.
  • Identifies new product opportunities based on market needs and customer feedback.
  • Partners with Talent & Organizational Development to design effective commission plans and monitor sales performance.
  • Collaborates with marketing to conduct market intelligence and coach the sales team on utilizing marketing resources effectively.
  • Assists in developing content for marketing campaigns and website initiatives.
  • Responsible for budget management and workforce planning.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business; MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive sales leadership experience in capital equipment or custom manufacturing.
  • Experience in the automation industry is highly desirable.
