Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Management: Manage all aspects of daily classroom activities, including curriculum planning, health, and safety, while actively supervising children at all times.
  • Curriculum Development: Develop an emergent curriculum that provides multiple entry points for children, encouraging their social and emotional growth and creating an exciting learning atmosphere.
  • Child Development: Encourage children's emotional, social, and physical development, and promote positive self-concept, while creating a nurturing and enriching learning environment.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with the teaching team, families, and administrators, while greeting parents and building rapport.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the teaching team, administrators, and specialists to achieve common goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience in early childhood education.
  • Certifications: 90-hour preschool certificate, 45-hour infant/toddler certificate, CPR certification, and Americans with Disabilities Act certification.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of standing and frequent bending.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
