Job Description and Duties

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Administrator II to join our Fiscal Services team at the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing accounting activities for the department, including Accounts Payable, Contracts, and Miscellaneous and Travel Utilities units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train accounting staff in their respective duties
  • Provide accounting/fiscal data necessary for departmental and control agency needs
  • Directly supervise two Accounting Administrator I supervisors and one Associate Accounting Analyst
Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard for several hours a day and involves sitting most of the time, with occasional walking or standing. Time off may not be granted during the year-end Financial Statement period. Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings and trainings via private or public transportation.
