About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team at St. Anthony North Health Campus. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department, providing exceptional patient care, and working collaboratively with our surgical team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the proper handling of instruments and equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition and readily available for use.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including preparing patients for surgery and assisting with their recovery.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective surgical procedures, maintaining open communication and a positive working relationship.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including surgical logs and patient information.
Requirements
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
  • One year of experience as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Assistant in a hospital or surgical setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the surgical team and provide exceptional patient care.
