Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic team at Boulder Centre for Orthopedics. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for creating a safe and efficient operating room environment, handling surgical instruments and equipment with precision, and providing invaluable assistance to surgeons and healthcare professionals throughout procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe patient care during surgical procedures.
- Plan, prepare, and assemble sterile supplies and instruments for surgeries.
- Handle sterile surgical instruments and supplies to maintain a sterile field.
- Manage contaminated articles to mitigate occupational exposure.
- Set up operating rooms based on physician preferences and optimize workflow.
- Protect patient privacy and uphold HIPAA standards.
- Assist in surgery and postoperative tasks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals.
- Stay informed about advancements in orthopedic surgical technology and participate in ongoing education and training.
- Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology.
- Current Colorado CST and BCLS certification required.
- One year of operating room scrub experience required.
- Previous ambulatory surgery experience is preferred.
