Role of a Staffing Assistant:

The Staffing Assistant plays a crucial role in the branch operations of Elwood Staffing. This position involves greeting visitors, scheduling appointments, responding to inquiries, and processing applications from potential candidates and current associates. The Staffing Assistant is integral to supporting the strategic goals of the branch, enhancing customer service, and contributing to business development efforts. All employees are expected to uphold the company’s mission and core values while delivering superior customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate service operations to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Welcome visitors, assess their needs, and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Handle incoming phone calls, determining the urgency and responding accordingly.
  • Manage incoming mail and correspondence.
  • Oversee the flow of applicants during the intake and interview process.
  • Ensure the new hire process is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Administer pre-employment assessments and record results as per standard procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Qualifications for Staffing Assistant:

  • Prior experience in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments to address issues promptly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
