About the Role

We are seeking a part-time Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our team at Assure Health LLC. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals in their mental health journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Connect with clients and coordinate ongoing sessions to support their recovery goals.
  • Provide peer support services through one-on-one interactions and group sessions, empowering clients to realize and pursue their hopes and dreams.
  • Assist clients in articulating and achieving their personal recovery goals, offering resources and support to help them reach their objectives.
  • Collaborate with clients and their providers to outline actionable steps toward service plan goals, helping clients identify and address fears and develop self-advocacy skills.
  • Model the importance of individual recovery experiences, demonstrating effective coping techniques and self-help strategies.
  • Identify and build upon clients' strengths, needs, and abilities, teaching problem-solving strategies and celebrating client progress and learning.
  • Document services and codes in client medical records promptly and accurately, maintaining personal recovery and upholding HIPAA compliance in all interactions.
  • Identify areas where additional support is needed, seek help, and provide constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
  • Prepare reports related to caseload, peer support capacity, and quality, collaborating on the development of new content and curriculum for client channels.
Requirements
  • Must hold an Ohio Certificate for Peer Support or Peer Recovery.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Willingness to work in Oxford, OH.
