Position Overview

This role is focused on the implementation, support, and upkeep of the technological elements that make up our client's network and infrastructure systems.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties:

  • Deliver product and technical assistance for all iterations of Microsoft's essential business applications (e.g., Windows, Office), along with virtualization frameworks based on Citrix, Microsoft, and VMware.
  • Manage project implementation and support services for Microsoft Server technologies (e.g., Windows Server, SQL Server, SharePoint, Exchange, Active Directory, etc.).
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues related to WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and other security solutions.
  • Address tasks outlined in support tickets assigned, documenting actions taken to resolve issues, client contact details, network schematics, expenses, etc., in a professional and timely manner.
  • Engage with clients and vendors to execute projects and resolve technical challenges to ensure client satisfaction.

Supporting Functions

Team Collaboration:

  • Work alongside other team members to meet collective objectives.
  • Assist and support the efforts of fellow team members.
  • Contribute to enhancing departmental services, revenue/profitability, and operational procedures.

Company & Client Relations:

  • Embrace and integrate Calsoft values, mission, guidelines, and policies into daily operations.
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with clients, colleagues, and business partners.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of conveying technical information to clients with varying levels of expertise in an understandable manner.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and conversing in Japanese.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with networking hardware, including managed switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Current technical certifications, such as MCSE, CCNA, or CCA.
  • Hands-on technical experience and knowledge of LAN/WAN operations and protocols.
  • Aptitude for multitasking and adapting to rapid changes.
  • Strong ability to learn quickly and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail.

Additional Information:

  • Frequent travel to client sites may be required, including occasional overnight or extended stays based on project needs.
  • Maintain a valid Driver's License and ensure personal vehicle is in reliable working condition.
  • Flexibility in work schedule is essential to support 24x7 operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift 60 lbs (e.g., a large server) and heavier items with assistance.
