Position Overview

The Inside Sales Consultant is responsible for promoting and selling the organization's offerings to both potential and existing clients. This role involves engaging with customers through various channels including in-person interactions, phone conversations, and electronic communications. The Consultant is expected to understand customer needs, provide solutions, and facilitate a seamless sales experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Engagement: Assist in achieving sales targets by maintaining active communication with clients regarding new product introductions, service offerings, and promotional discounts.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Deliver outstanding service through face-to-face interactions, phone support, and email correspondence.
  • Order Management: Oversee all sales processes including order entry, purchase order management, payment processing, and ensuring accurate delivery timelines.
  • Product Recommendations: Suggest alternative products based on cost-effectiveness, availability, or specific customer requirements.
  • Logistics Coordination: Monitor shipment schedules to guarantee timely delivery and liaise with relevant departments to expedite orders as necessary.
  • Sales Generation: Drive new and repeat business by providing timely product and technical information.
  • Customer Education: Inform clients about product features, benefits, and terminology to enhance their understanding and satisfaction.
  • Warranty and Returns Assistance: Support customers with warranty claims and product returns.
  • Problem Resolution: Collaborate with management to address customer issues effectively, ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Customer Feedback: Conduct periodic outreach to assess customer satisfaction with products and services.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and generate reports on sales activities.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about HVAC products and industry trends.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with management and peers to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Compliance: Understand and adhere to operational procedures and company policies.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 3 to 6 years of progressive sales experience, with a minimum of 3 years in the HVAC sector.
  • Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent; some college education preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database applications, strong customer service skills, effective communication abilities, and excellent organizational skills.
