Position Title: Manufacturing Support Specialist

Role Summary: The Manufacturing Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting the production team with essential tasks related to the creation of bulk products while ensuring cleanliness and organization within the Manufacturing Department. This position adheres to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and complies with the FDA's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and stage pre-measured raw materials in specified production areas.
  • Set up and configure manufacturing machinery for designated production tasks.
  • Assist in incorporating raw materials into the manufacturing process.
  • Remove and dispose of empty raw material containers from the production zone.
  • Weigh and label drums of finished bulk products accurately.
  • Support the transition of manufacturing equipment between different production runs.
  • Engage in the cleaning and maintenance of the manufacturing environment and equipment.
  • Receive and verify bulk deliveries of raw materials or finished products.
  • Sanitize manufacturing tools and equipment as per safety standards.
  • Ensure that all manufacturing equipment is properly cleaned and suitable for use.
  • Record all labor activities in the central computer system.
  • Document all relevant batch activities in the appropriate equipment logbooks.
  • Confirm that raw material barcode tickets and manufacturing batch cards are accurate and valid.
  • Notify the supervisor of any discrepancies in raw material information and set aside nonconforming materials.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team for sampling of completed bulk products.
  • Prepare bulk storage tanks for incoming product deliveries and assist in the unloading process.
  • Operate a forklift, maintaining current certification.
Essential Skills:
  • Technical Skills: Forklift operation, raw material preparation, manufacturing equipment setup, barcode scanning, documentation, and sanitization procedures.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Attention to detail, teamwork, effective communication, problem-solving, and strong organizational abilities.
Job Type:

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a total duration of 640 hours.

Work Environment:

This role requires full onsite presence. The schedule includes various shifts, with positions available for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. All personnel must adhere to strict cleanliness protocols, including wearing lab coats, hair nets, shoe covers, and beard nets, in a sterile environment that follows high SOPs and GMPs.
